Ethics
On July 27, 2004, the DPA Board of Directors adopted the attached Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility.
Education
On
March 9, 2004, the DPA Board of Directors adopted the following
education statement:
The
Delaware Paralegal Association promotes high standards in paralegal
education. DPA advocates a Bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies
from an ABA-approved program or a Bachelors degree in any subject
from an accredited institution and a paralegal certificate from
an ABA-approved program for persons entering the profession.
The
DPA recognizes paralegals currently employed in the profession possess
differing educational backgrounds and work experience.
Paralegals
are encouraged to pursue continuing legal education throughout their
careers.
