Education

On March 9, 2004, the DPA Board of Directors adopted the following education statement:

The Delaware Paralegal Association promotes high standards in paralegal education. DPA advocates a Bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies from an ABA-approved program or a Bachelors degree in any subject from an accredited institution and a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program for persons entering the profession.

The DPA recognizes paralegals currently employed in the profession possess differing educational backgrounds and work experience.

Paralegals are encouraged to pursue continuing legal education throughout their careers.
